How do I clean Makala leather?

Makala leather is soft to the touch and velvet-like. Makala is popular in a saddle and is used in the seat and knee pads because it adds extra grip. It requires special care and cleaning methods to keep it soft to the touch.

For light cleaning –use warm soapy water and clean using small circular motions. Leave to dry, away from direct heat.

Buff with a dry sponge to bring up the grain.

Never oil your makala as this will flatten the grain of the leather.
